A UNIFIED VISION

The curriculum at Kirkham Grammar Junior, Infant, Pre School & Nursery is more than a collection of subjects: it is a journey of discovery that begins in Nursery and Pre School, is strengthened in Reception, and continues to flourish through the Infants and Juniors. By blending academic challenge with creativity, physical development and personal growth and by aligning Early Years pedagogy we nurture well rounded, thoughtful and curious learners.

Pupils leave us confident, capable and ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of the world ahead with the values of 'Be Kind, Be Curious, Be Determined' embodied in all we do.

At Kirkham Grammar Junior, Infant, Pre School & Nursery, our curriculum is designed to nurture curiosity, build deep understanding and inspire every pupil to achieve their full potential. From Nursery and Pre School through Reception and into the Infant and Junior phases, children encounter a rich, progressive experience rooted in high expectations, creativity, enquiry and play.

In the Early Years, high quality continuous provision, responsive adult interaction and carefully planned enhancements build the prime and specific areas of learning towards the Early Learning Goals (ELGs), ensuring that our pupils transition smoothly throughout their primary years.

We organise learning into five broad areas: Language & Literacy, STEM, Arts & Creative Subjects, Humanities, and Personal Development & Wellbeing ensuring progression from the Early Years through to the end of Junior School.
