Sixth Form Taster Day- As part of yesterday’s Sixth Form Taster Day, Fifth Year pupils experienced a variety of taster lessons throughout the day. Pupils looked at 'Language and Gender', a topic in A-level English Language. In A-level Business Studies, Fifth Year pupils were introduced to a new framework to allow them to make a strategic business decision and in Biology learnt how to extract DNA from their saliva. Our Design Technology department had a very busy day. In A-level Product Design, Fifth Year pupils were introduced to the technique of 'Marker Rendering' and in A-level Design Engineering learnt about gears and applied this to build a car and see what angle it could run at.
