Yesterday, J1 travelled to Blackpool Zoo to learn more about their Humanities topic: ‘The Rainforest’. The children attended a rainforest workshop led by one of the zoo keepers, were given the opportunity to look at rainforest artefacts and were even able to hold a Madagascan hissing cockroach!
Following the workshop, J1 explored the zoo and were able to identify many animals which live in the rainforest. The children were even able to experience rainforest-like weather! Luckily, this did not dampen anyone’s spirits and a fantastic day was had by all.
