Sixth Form pupil, Anya, selected for England U18s International Hockey Squad

Kirkham Grammar School Lower Sixth Form pupil, Anya (keeper - pictured far right), who was selected and played for England U16s International hockey squad last season, has been selected for England U18s National Hockey squad this season, following a series of trials at Lilleshall and Bisham Abbey National Sports Centres.

Anya will travel to Holland at Easter to take part in a series of matches against Holland and France. The squad are working towards the European U18 Hockey Cup in July which will see Anya and the squad travel to Germany to compete.

In addition to this fantastic achievement, Anya has also been nominated for the GB Elite Development Programme trial, with the final trial taking place later this month.
