KGS host 'sold out' Smyth's epic Mass in D debut North of England performance

On Saturday evening, a sold out debut North of England performance of Smyth's epic Mass in D was triumphantly performed by almost 200 musicians.

Members of Preston Cecilian Choral Society, Lytham St. Anne's Choral Society and Kirkham Grammar School Choir were joined by The Ward's Stone Orchestra, conducted by Helen Harrison, in a truly uplifting rendition of this rarely heard masterpiece.

This difficult work is testament to the quality of the young singers of the Kirkham Choir, who gave their all through its many challenging moments, something for the school to be truly proud of.
