Last Wednesday, Kirkham Grammar School J2 pupils visited Fairhaven Lake in support of their 'Living Things' Science topic. The trip was hosted by staff from the RSPB, who helped the pupils learn a lot about the wildlife that lives in and around the lake.
The pupils were split into groups and followed a treasure trail around the lake. This involved solving clues, reading information and answering questions. After lunch they all had a go at mud-dipping. They found a wide variety of different creatures and learnt about their life-cycles.
The pupils and staff were blessed with fantastic weather and rounded off the trip of with an ice cream!
