On Saturday 18 November 2023, seven children from J2, J3 and J4 competed in the AJIS Chess Tournament held at Bolton School.
Noah, Henry, Jenson, Ruth, Bowen, Mariam and Max had all prepared well for the tournament by attending Mr Barker's Chess Club after school and practising at home.
Everybody played five matches throughout the day. All of our players won at least one match, with Noah winning four out of his five. Noah finished an impressive second in his age group.
